Construction & Refit

Watkins Superyachts has direct access to a number of quality yards for new build projects, experienced in producing custom or semi-custom yachts built from steel, aluminium and composites.

Project management is integral to the smooth running of the construction, re-fit or yard period process. We have a core group of highly experienced Project Managers including Marine Superintendents, Chief Engineers, Captains and technical consultants available for long or short term projects. We are able to help co-ordinate all the technical processes and dynamics between Owner, designers, stylists, and shipyards, with strong emphasis on working with classification societies and flag state administrations.We also attend shipyards during dry docking and assist with yard specifications.

We have facilitated and operated a number of new build projects. Our current order book includes sailing yachts from 32M to 50M, motor yachts from 35m upwards to large, fully SOLAS compliant megayachts in excess of 100m.

We are also able to provide yard capacity for refit purposes at short notice and at competitive rates. Negotiation of contract and yacht specifications can also be undertaken with the full support of the legal team.
